About Joan Gibson Management
Joan Gibson Management (JGM) is one of Australia's leading and most respected talent
agencies, having been in operation for more than 39 years after being established
in 1971. Representing talented actors in Television, Film, and Theatre, the agency
is a major supplier of talent to the Australian Entertainment Industry.
Managing Director Joan Gibson and her team have a specialised knowledge of young
performers, from babies to teenagers. With teenage actors being one of the agencies
notable areas of expertise. We are one of the few agencies that still produces an
annual talent head book for children aged between 4-16, this ensures that when casting
directors need children they think of Joan Gibson.
But these children grow into adults, so we are now extremely proud of the amazing
stable of adult actors we represent, all of who can be seen through this website
and on Showcast. We also co-represent some of these actors with a manager to give
them the best career potential.
Joan has an enviable reputation as a talent-spotter, (she has also been affectionately
called the Talent Queen) with many of her "discoveries" going onto successful careers
both here and overseas. This skill, along with our rigourous audition process for
admission, means that we represent actors with exceptional and unique talent.
JGM is now also affiliated with a manager based in Los Angeles and New York, this
unique relationship also gives our actors the best chance of developing a career
in America.
Our trusted relationship throughout the Industry is something we are immensely proud
of. We also have a close association with Australia's most influential drama schools,
including NIDA, McDonald College, ATYP, and the major dance schools.
A key ingredient of the agencies success is the policy of providing clients with
friendly service and having the vital ability to be able to put forward the right
people for the job. This is a skill which can't be taught, it comes from knowing
our actors well.
We look forward to your continued support ....
Joan Gibson
